Simple Notepad Trick
This is a simple notepad Trick you may not know.
- You may be using notepad from many years but i don’t think that you ever came across this trick.
- Let it be , Now try this on your PC now.
- Open notepad application from the start button of your windows.
- Type any sentence which have 4 words and the first must be is having 4 letters and the second and third having 3 letters and fourth word with 5 letters in it. For example enter this sentence without braces “wwww goh har shcom” or “bird tin tan slide“
- Entering the sentence as explained above (without any additional characters like spaces, new line breakers etc).
- Save the file as xxx.txt
- Close the notepad.
- Open it again and read the sentence you entered in it!
As far the Limitations of notepad is concerned any sentence with 4-3-3-5 word combination will result a same value which is not possible by windows OS to detect the changes. Text containing a Unicode UTF-16-encoded unicode are usually made to be started with a Byte order mask denoted by BOM whose job is to inform the reader how the characters inside the document is encoded.
So now what happens here is :
- You will save the file to a 8Bit extended ASCII.
- But attempts to read through Windows from a 16 bit Unicode which results in this error.
